My Message to Lawmakers
I'm not asking for special treatment, I'm asking for the chance to live in my own home, contribute to my community, and be treated with dignity.
Medicaid isn't a handout, it's a lifeline, which I rely on to live. When you cut it, you're not trimming fat, you're cutting into the muscle of people's lives.
If you're reading this and you don't rely on Medicaid, I ask you to imagine needing help to get out of bed-and then being told that help isn't coming anymore.
These Medicaid cuts aren't just cutting into the hopes and dreams of so many others like me who need care, they are cutting directly into our lives.
I may have cerebral palsy, but what I also have is a bold, unwavering voice. And I'll keep using it until our lawmakers listen.
